About the Artist

I'm Carter Bruning, a senior in high school. After officially venturing into art freshmen year in the class Exploratory Art, I soon realized drawing and painting were not my strong suits. However sophomore year I took Ceramics 1 and really started to develop an artistic side. From then I continued with my 3D art kick, mostly focusing in clay.

I have also been able to branch out and experiment with a few other materials. During the beginning of quarantine I dabbled in the use of art with found materials in the home. Then this year with our Jeans project I branched out and used a jean jacket with iron ons and more visual creativity. also this year I dabbled just a little in photoshop with our Absurd Leap project, however that was not a successful attempt. Additional sophomore year there was a use of wire and broken glass to create a mobil of sorts, playing on the element of balance. Through my years of art I've been able to grow my love of art and find my personal niche in clay works.
